Class Questions

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE?

We welcome ages 10 and up.  Kids between the ages of 10-15 must be accompanied by an adult.  Ages 16 and up have to have signed permission to workout by their parent or guardian.

Kids under the age of 10 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

IF I AM A BEGINNER OR HAVEN’T WORKED OUT IN A WHILE, WHAT CLASS SHOULD I START WITH?

Start with the class that excites you most.  Every class on our schedule is designed to accommodate all levels of fitness.

Don’t worry!  We will help you with setup, modifications, and anything else you need to feel comfortable and to be successful.

HOW LONG IS EACH CLASS AND WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Each class is approximately 30-60 minutes in length depending on format.

Please bring a towel, water, a mat, and any equipment necessary for the class format.

If you run out of water, no sweat – we provide water. Gatorade may be purchased at the front desk for a small fee.

DO I HAVE TO HAVE SPECIAL SHOES AND/OR PANTS, ETC. IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE SPIN CLASS?

No special shoes required for spin.  Sneakers and long shorts/capris are recommended.

Gel seats can be purchased at a local sporting good store if you prefer an extra cushion for your ride.

If you love the class and the workout and are interested in purchasing cycling shoes, be sure to have SPD clips attached as our pedals are SPD specific.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT?

Results vary.  You get out what you put in.  Our program is very diverse – we offer multiple cardio-based classes, resistance training, balance, body weight, and combination workouts.

You can expect to feel better, smile more, meet lots of new friends, and ignite your inner champion!

If your results are less than you expected, please talk with your instructor and/or the owner for a personal assessment and goal-setting session.

I HAVE AN OLD KNEE INJURY AND AM NOT VERY FLEXIBLE. WILL THIS PREVENT ME FROM TAKING ANY PARTICULAR CLASS?

As always, please consult your doctor prior to starting any exercise program.

Our experienced, certified instructors are versed at modifying workouts to meet all fitness/function needs.

Your injury should never prevent you from trying a class.  However, you know your body better than anyone.

We recommend you discuss your goals, class selections, and workout load with one of the instructors/trainers at the studio.

I AM PREGNANT. CAN I STILL WORKOUT WITH BMF?

Every woman and every pregnancy is different.  Usually, there are no restrictions, however, you must consult your doctor to be certain that you are released to participate at will.

Our instructors will be very cautious and a bit overprotective of you, but we want to ensure that you stay safe and are able to continue your workouts up until the day you deliver.

HOW OFTEN DOES THE SCHEDULE CHANGE? HOW CAN I DOWNLOAD A COPY OF THE MOST CURRENT SCHEDULE?

Our schedule is set to be evaluated every three months. Based on class participation and/or member feedback, we reserve the right to change (add or subtract) from the current class line-up.

I WILL BE COMING FROM WORK EACH EVENING, IS THERE SOMEWHERE TO CHANGE AND STORE MY BELONGINGS?

We have restrooms/changing rooms available for your use and storage cubbies for your belongings.

HOW DO I BECOME A BLASTER?

CAN YOU ALL HELP ME WITH MY NUTRITION AND/OR SUPPLEMENTATION?

Absolutely!! We will offer a specialty program to address these exact topics. Check the schedule and/or talk to the owners for details.

We are dedicated to providing you with a 360-degree approach to your overall wellness.

BMF is an Official Distributor for Prestige Labs, as well as an Independent Ambassador for PLEXUS. We can help you get started on a supplement system to help meet your performance, recovery, and life goals.

DO YOU PROVIDE CHILD CARE?

We do not provide supervised child care.

If your children can entertain themselves, stay occupied with a book/iPad/etc, and will not disrupt the class experience, they are welcomed to hang out in the studio during class.

DO YOU PROVIDE PERSONAL TRAINING OR OTHER HEALTH AND WELLNESS SERVICES?

We provide PT, nutrition services, cooking lessons, grocery shopping tours, meal prep, private fitness parties, corporate wellness events, and supplementation guidance for our members. See a staff member for details or call 281-541-2279.

HOW DO I BOOK A PRIVATE FITNESS PARTY?

Private parties can be held at your site or at our studio.  We provide private parties for any format – pick your date, pick your format, then pick your place.

$50 non-refundable deposit required upon booking.

Membership Questions 

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

Membership cancelations require a 30-day notice. Send us an email to billing@bmf-fitness.com with your request to cancel your membership. 

The member is required to pay 50% of any remaining balance plus the prorated amount on the annual equipment fee.

HOW MANY CLASSES PER WEEK ARE INCLUDED IN MY MEMBERSHIP?

Memberships include unlimited classes weekly.

CAN I PAUSE OR PUT MY MEMBERSHIP ON HOLD?

A member can put their account on hold for the following reasons:

  • Medical (with a doctor’s note)
  • Financial hardship
  • Long term vacation
  • Other (must speak with owner’s)

A hold placed on a membership is good for 60 days. After which, the member’s auto draft will reactivate. If the customer needs to remain on hold for any of the aforementioned reasons, they need to reinitiate another 60-day hold with me. There is a $15 per month fee for placing a membership on hold.

Paused/On-Hold memberships are still under contract – the months paused will be added to the end.

I WOULD LIKE TO BRING A GUEST. WHAT IS THE GUEST POLICY AT BMF?

All new guests can purchase a 4-class bundle for $20.

If you decide to bring someone as a guest who has previously participated in a BMF class, drop-in payment and/or punch card payment is required.

WHAT ARE MY SHIPPING OPTIONS?

We will normally ship using USPS Priority (normally 2-days) but we offer other options such as FedEx to get it there faster.  You can also request to pick up your ordered item at the BMF Fitness Studio which is free to you.
